Bar constructions:

The Proscan bar constructions can be categorised into 3 groups depending on their functionality and design.

Standard bar

Dolder bars, round bars, Preci-Horix bars, … . These are all bars with a standard profile to which standard clips (riders) can be attached.

Standard bar with attachements

These bars have a design similar to the standard bar but also include an extra feature to which the client can secure any attachments needed. We provide the bars with screw thread or a recess for a specific attachment.

Custom-made bar

These are all of the bars with non-standard profiles. These bars are designed entirely according to personal preferences—for example, a conical profile with a slope of 6° over the entire bar, including stops for your secondary framework or telescopic construction. Simply stated, this is the custom-work for a functional bar.

Wrap-around structure for plastic blending:

Metal reinforcement for your fixed bridgework with acrylic blending. The structures are designed in two ways.

WAX-UP: We copy the wax or acrylic structure supplied and then digitally position the implant fit under the structure to obtain a passive fit.

Digital design: Based on the (temporary) prostheses supplied, we draw a functional structure, keeping in mind the need for a sturdy construction with sufficient room for the acrylic. Given that the underside of the teeth must also be taken into account, we ensure that the amount of grinding required for the replacement of the teeth is kept to a minimum.

Screw-retained bridgework with anatomical design

This anatomical design can be obtained in 2 ways:

WAX-UP: We copy the wax or acrylic structure supplied and then digitally position the implant fit under the structure to obtain a passive fit.

Digital design: Based on the (temporary) prostheses and/or the opposing teeth supplied, we draw a functional anatomical structure with the spacing required for porcelain or acrylic blending.

Custom made abutment

The solitary abutments are made to measure, fitted to the gum line and provide a support for crowns or bridgework. The anatomical design can be obtained in 2 ways:

WAX-UP: We copy the wax or acrylic abutment supplied and then digitally position the implant fit under the structure to obtain a passive fit with anti-rotation.

Digital design: Based on the (temporary) prostheses and/or the opposing teeth arch supplied, we draw a functional abutment. This can be an abutment over which a cap or bridge can later be cemented, one that can be directly screw retained or one over which a telescopic work can be fitted.

Special requests

Upon request, Proscan can also provide you with special custom-work in the form of a unique item in a large- or small-quantity series. First, in consultation with you, a sketch will be made of the required item and then, before the item is produced, a purchase price will be agreed upon.
