Cadcam Scanner

Proscan uses Imetric scan technology for the digitalisation of the work pieces and for the calculation of the implant positions by way of structured light in combination with photogrammetry. It is a total open scanner which produces high-quality data in STL format, ready to be loaded into a CAD system. The control of the scanner occurs via the Imetric software itself or via integration in another CAD software system such as, for example, Dentcad, Exocad, … .

The scanner can be used for crown and bridgework, abutments, implant structures, frames, the scanning of prostheses and bite rims, … simply anything that fits within the scan volume indicated and is opaque, non-reflective and not brightly coloured. Scan spray can also be used to mask these properties.

  • Nominal point distance: 0,06 tot 0,08 mm
• Data quality
  • Noise: better than 5 micrometers (0.005 mm, depending on the surface of the object)
  • Reproducibility: better than 10 micrometers (0.01 mm, depending on the surface of the object)
  • Precision: better than 20 micrometers (0.02 mm)

These performance parameters were measured with a computer in the first half of 2011 according to Imetric standard specifications and the most up-to-date software in use at that time
